Deck Medallions
Deck Medallions were designed to conceal the anchors used in the installation of swimming pool safety covers and the damaging effects these metallic anchors can have on the pool’s decking. These ornamental poolside medallions innovatively attach to the pool cover deck anchors and give the deck unmatched charm and accent.
When installing a Deck Medallion, proceed as follows:
- Initially screw the anchor into the deck at or slightly below the deck’s surface as recommended by the
manufacturer of the safety cover.
- Align the Deck Medallion’s underbody hexagon shaft section with hexagon hole of the deck anchor.
- Gradually push the Medallion downward so as it is flush with the deck. Appling pressure around the
outer edge of the Medallion will seat it flush to the deck.
DO NOT USE MEDALLIONS IF THEY DO NOT SIT FLUSH WITH DECK SURFACE.
When removing a Deck Medallion either lift the Medallion directly out of the anchor or unscrew the Medallion and anchor together, as one piece, from the deck.

Deck Rings
Deck rings are escutcheon plates used to conceal the mounting hardware used to install pool hand railings and ladders. Deck rings also conceal the unsightly concrete chips that inevitably show up around the mounting hardware.
To install a Deck Ring , proceed as follows:
- Loosen the securing bolts in the rail anchor that holds the rail to the pool deck.
- Lift the rail and remove it from the rail anchor. Slide the Deck Ring up the bottom of the rail.
- While holding the deck ring up on the railing, reinstall the rail into the anchor and tighten the securing
bolts. Slide the deck ring in place.

Rail Goods
All of the Pool Jewel hand rails install with industry standard 1.9-inch rail anchor hardware with an 8-inch o.c. spacing. As a rule, the rail anchor hardware is installed by the contractor at the time of construction. If you do not have a pool railing and want to install one in an existing pool, we recommend that you contact your local pool contractor, as this is not the type of job most home owners are willing to undertake.
