For seasonal installations of a Portable Patio, you may find it
desirable to screw the patio tiles together. The tiles come
with a preformed pilot hole in the connecting tabs (see photo
at left) for this purpose. By screwing the tiles together, the
tiles will be mechanically locked together which helps to
prevent movement due to ground shift and wind lift.
We recommend using #12 x 3/4-inch stainless steel screws
for patios installed directly on the ground. Stainless steel will
not rust. For permanent installations on a wood foundation,
use #10 x 2-inch stainless steel screws. For either type, do
not over tighten screws when installing your patio. All you
have to do is snug them up.
